If you wanna be a decent, well-liked, and respected member of society, you should do your best not to offend others. 

Even when making a joke, it’s important to understand that language is truly the most dangerous weapon, and we must exercise caution when wielding it.

That said, maybe you can laugh when other people say horribly offensive things. Maybe you’re not doing anything wrong! You're simply an innocent bystander to something awful that was said or shown, and it just also happens to be hilarious.
